At A Loss

I'm at a loss 
Possibility hates me 

I'm stuck in place 
Poems evade me 

Love won't lay me down 
but it lays me out 
The moment I feel it 
it flattens me 

Reciprocity hides its face 
behind its hands 
as it laughs at me 

Roads lead in loops 
No street anywhere 
called "Escape"

Disappointment is 
my ultimate fate 
It doesn't care if I'm brave 

Dialogue breaks down 
Friends sharing only silence 
Concern is only spurned 

"No sleep" is tattooed 
on the backs of my eyelids 

Now prayers feel blocked 
Now feeling goes numb 

I'm at a loss 
but not about to give up
