Craving Conjures
The treasure box is desolate
You invited but he doesn't come in
There's no pride in the pain anymore
Humor tries but the joke just hangs there
The neighborhood fog is a sudden barbed blanket
Anything could come from anywhere
except that one thing your craving
bids you conjure
There's no luck in the love anymore
A parade jangles by
It stops you in place but it's
not in your honor
The bed is not your bed anymore
He fell asleep there once and
that makes it his
There's no peace anyplace anymore
He stood on that porch before
He shops at that store
So try humor try
but the treasure's been lifted
Because I can't forget it I
must walk in the fog
Let it take me anywhere
Take from me anything
Until craving conjures and
he comes parading in
