God's blessings abound

My dogs are just the best

I managed to avoid arrest

while engaging in civil disobedience

Smoking and really feeling it

at the world, it's suddenly behaving

The novel from the bookstore is a five star read

I've got everything I need

No boyfriend but that's cos I'm choosy

Not settling for "good enough" or "abusive"

I'm playing all my favorite music

Got me rocking out and bluesing

but only in the most wistful ways

No deep despair, just memories of good days
