Gravity
All I am All felt, fought or seen Comes back to embers ridges, storms and seas None of which Retain your constant gleam Even though you’re nothing like you seem All my life, burning and scraping Staring into stormfronts Going to tempt the undertow Even when it’s unwise to spark or to swim Despairing stillness that pursues Everywhere I go Bright line dividing The time since we entangled From everything before, discarded on your shore All I was All hidden, hyped or handed All erased, all undone Once your gravity grabbed me Kinda can’t complain The stubborn heart will always Find its way to celebration But this love affair’s not even there Just reflexive contemplation of a hyper imagination
