Lifebreath
Blood spills sacrificed to rebirth
A splotchy red rose blooming
as though painted by gory brush
Openly discarded evidence
Now the hieroglyphs
of redemption's entreaty are rendered
Surrendered power to the lifebreath of all power
I scale sky tops singing for transcendence
Tucking and rolling to cut through turbulence
above the alpenglow of home
Extending a hand to meet happy-go-lucky eternity
I've been finding real gems
Refracting rhythms of prayerful refrains
Crimson emerald amber auras
Light pouring from love's embodiment blue
Yes said to Yahweh
The stasher and scatterer of gems
We thrum through space to one another
Disappointing meaning's void
