I dream that at last 
you fall and fall hard 
We get fiery without 
risking our friendship

but better 
because when it's not 
just a story 
there's no necessity

there aren't stories 
Even in the 
everyday minutiae 
we find epic impetus 

We become the 
ultimate epic 
about sustainable peace

how you gave that to me 
in moments never over 
now that they're logged 
in my memory of feeling 

Like when you told me 
the demonic voice
that drags me 
is a liar 
and you scooted
a little closer 
and it made 
a big difference 

Just being awash 
in what you radiate 
making up for
